The beginnings of the rock group REGRESS take us to the eighties, when the lead guitarist Gerrard Philip and the drummer Agris Rostoks together with Viesturs Polikarps participated in foundation of the legendary rock group RŪSA in 1987.
The time passes, the life changes and Viesturs suggests recording the songs of RŪSA in autumn 2011. Rehearsals proceed. The musicians understand that there will be no progress after rearranging two songs, however, both eager to play after 24 years, musicians Agris and Gerrard, are not willing to stop. Moreover, a lot of new ideas to be implemented have emerged during this time. The bassist Valdis Verdenhofs joins the group in spring 2012. The topical problem is the vocal. Ivars Jakimcovs joins the group and is the author of the latest songs.
Soon they realize the vocal is something they have to deal with by themselves without any help from outside.
Currently REGRESS actively works on their first album to be released soon and prepares for the gigs.
